Riga - Tallinn (day 13)

Today was mainly about traveling from Riga in Latvia to Tallinn in Estonia. After breakfast, we loaded the suitcases in the car, and we were ready to leave.

On the way to Tallinn we stopped at a gas station to refuel, for a bathroom break and to buy some cookies and beer. We continued our way to Tallinn again, on the highway a weasel or squirrel (we couldn't see it that quickly) crossed the road right in front of us. We (almost) hit this poor animal (I couldn't see that in the mirror either). Once we arrived in Tallinn we were a few hours too early, we parked the car near the old town (we hit another car while parking, oops... This is probably karma for hitting that poor weasel / squirrel). So there is some damage to the interior) and we walked to the old city. We quickly explored the old town and then went back to the car before the time on the parking meter was up. From here we drove to the apartment, here it was a bit of a hassle because the apartment is on a busy road, and you can't park your car here. So we parked the car somewhere nearby and walked to the apartment where the owner was waiting for us, showed us the apartment and handed over the keys (also for the parking gate) and showed us where we could park the car. Eventually it all worked out and we brought our stuff inside. My father then did some groceries, since it was almost dinner time, he got ready-made microwave meals that we only had to heat up (it was too late to cook and besides, after all the hassle we just had we didn't feel like it). After dinner, we relaxed and later we're going to watch Ajax. Tomorrow we're going to explore Tallinn further. By the way, Tallinn is the farthest point of our journey, the day after tomorrow we will slowly drive back home (in stages of course).
