After a half sleepless night (due to the heat, mosquitoes in the room and passing cars) we had breakfast and prepared a packed lunch. Then we loaded the suitcases into the car and started driving towards WrocΕaw.
Today we left Germany behind us and drove into Poland. On the way to WrocΕaw, we first made a stop at the former prisoner of war camp Stalag Luft III (click for more information about this). This prisoner of war camp is known for escape attempts via 3 tunnels, of which 1 tunnel was successful. They had called this tunnel "Harry" at the time, and we visited this tunnel (also known from the film classic The Great Escape, with Steve McQueen) after we had first visited the small museum. After seeing this, we drove straight to WrocΕaw. Once we arrived, we unloaded the suitcases from the car and brought them inside, then we washed off all the sweat from the heat and walked to the historic city center to eat and admire the city center. After dinner, we walked some more until we had had enough, then we walked back to the apartment. Tomorrow will mainly consist of spending a few hours in the city center again and then driving to the next location. More about this tomorrow!
