Hinton (day 8)

As expected it got really clouded and rainy today. For that reason we didn't have much to do today, so a relaxing day was to be expected.  After breakfast, we drove to Maligne Canyon. Here is a hiking trail along six bridges that crosses the narrow and very deep canyon, where the wild water streams. On the way there we saw five elks (wapiti), of which one bull elk (with giant antlers).

After that we drove to Jasper city, to walk around in Downtown, buy some souvenirs and to get something for lunch at a bakery. Also, we went to Den Wildlife museum. This is a small but fun museum in the basement of a hotel. Quite remarkable! Finally, we also went to Miette Hot Springs. This is a warm water pool (38 °C). Nice to warm up on a chilly day as today (it was about 11 °C today) ?. After this welcoming warming-up we drove back to Hinton, to the hotel to let our wet swimming gear dry up in the hotel room, and then we drove to a Chinese restaurant just out of town for dinner. With a full stomach we drove back to the hotel to call it a day. Tomorrow we will be leaving Jasper National Park already to go to Clearwater, more about that tomorrow. See you then!
