Today the holiday sadly comes to an end and we'll be flying back to the Netherlands. But we are supposed to be at the airport at mid afternoon. So in the morning we went to the botanical garden of Vancouver. This is a big park, with different trails, a cactusgarden, an Asian garden, a kitchen garden specially for homeless people / the salvavion army and a tree top canopy over multiple suspension bridges.
After seeing the botanical garden we went to the nearby Nitobe Memorial Garden. As the name would suggest it's a garden to memorate Dr. Inazo Nitobe. This garden is located at a university campus. Dr. Nitobe was a Japanese author, diplomatand politician among others. He passed away in 1933, after that this garden was laid out in Japanese style. After that we drove on to the airport, where we returned the rental car and checked in and went through the whole process. Once at the gate we got a nice Subway sandwich for lunch and after about an hour we could board the (partial orange colored) KLM plane. After a little less than 9 hours of flying where I could barely sleep we arrived at Schiphol Airport. When we got our luggage we took the train home, once we got home our adventure to Canada officially came to an end. I hope you enjoyed my adventures throughout the west of Canada. I will post the photos and videos online as fast as I can. Once they are online I will let you know, keep a eye out for my ο»ΏFacebook-pageο»Ώ for the latest updates! Onto the next adventure! :)
