Sámara (day 14)

There was nothing planned for today, but after breakfast we decided to go to the nearby place called Nosara tot have a look at the beach. The muddy road we had to drive over had as much holes as a Swiss cheese, so this was a bouncy trip... Once on the beach we were looking at surfers doing their thing. After a while we saw dark clouds come close so we walked back to the car before it started to rain. Unfortunately we didn't succeed, when we were close to the car it started to rain very hard.

Then we had to drive back through the mud, which is now slippery and wet of the rain. This was an exciting and quite scary ride! Once back at the hotel we cleared ourselves of the sand (read: wash our feet under the shower). After that we dived in the swimming pool (in the meantime it had gotten dry again). Except for the swimming pool we enjoyed the free massage in the jacuzzi. After that we took a shower to fresh up and then we went for lunch. After lunch we went souvenir hunting, which isn't that hard, because when you walk out the hotel you'll find plenty of souvenirshops in the street. After scoring the souvenirs we went to the restaurant of out hotel to have a drink followed by dinner. Right after dinner the thunder and lightning started, where the lightning struck not far away. So the whole city was cut from electricity. Because of this there is no internet, so this story is posted with delay. Sorry about that! Tomorrow is already our last day in Costa Rica, we will be drivng from Sámara to San José. There we will be staying for one night before going to the airport to fly to Panama and eventually to Amsterdam. Adios and hopefully see you soon!
