Wadden Islands

In addition to the mainland, the Netherlands also has the Wadden Islands. These islands extend from the Netherlands to Denmark, but five of these islands belong to the Netherlands. In the correct order, these are Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog. An easy way to remember these names in the correct order is by using the mnemonic "TVTAS" (it translates to the non-existing word "tv bag"), the first letters of the names of the five islands.
