Amsterdam - New Delhi (arrival)

Hello folks! We just arrived at the hotel (right now it's 5:00 AM). Flight and all was fine, ony our suitcases haven't arrived 😕 But they will arrive this afternoon / evening with the first flight up. Hope for the best, fingers crossed! Upon arrival we were awaited by a guy from the travel company (Fox). We walked to his car so he can bring us to our hotel.

With all of us (and without suitcases) we went to the (4 stars) hotel and upon arrival we were welcomed with a drink (yes really, at this time!). My first impression of New Delhi is that it's very spacious and a lot of green. But also that traffic rules are more guidelines than actual rules... for example you can stop your car everywhere (even in the middle of the road) to take a pee or whatsoever. So bizarre! But tomorrow.. euhm.. today (no I don't have a jetlag 😉) we will be picked up by our driver for the next weeks and a guide at 11 AM (-3,5 hours earlier than Dutch time) in the lobby to start our tour through New Delhi. We will be seeing the old and new city. We will be exploring the old city by rickshaw. So for today we will be visiting palaces, mosques etcetera. Now there's only 1 problem for me.. to sleep or not to sleep? (for those couple of hours... and to overcome the jetlag.) Next time my blog from the first day in New Delhi! 🙂
