Jaipur - Deogarh (day 6)

This morning I woke up like an Arabian king (something different than a maharaja for a change), because of the call to prayer from the mosque. But the day started at a textile shop, where we bought some things. Next we continued our way to Pushkar (3 hours driving) to visit a Hindu temple. This temple is to honor an important person, which is also the only temple to honor this person. Which makes it a unique temple in the world. At walking distance of the temple there's a lake that is sacred to buddhists. The story goes that that Buddha dropped a lotus flower on this location and a miracle happened. The miracle includes that the lake arised on that location. After seeing this (recording devices weren't allowed, so I couldn't take photos unfortunately) we continued driving to Deogarh (still 2 hours driving). This is where our hotel is located. Naturally another mahal from a maharaja! My hotelroom consists of a big salon, a bedroom and a bathroom! At this hotel there's also a swimming pool, so once again I took a refreshing dive after a day full of sweating and sitting in the car. Finally we had a nice meal and for now a dance show to watch! 🙂 Tomorrow we continue our trip to Udaipur, you'll read all about it tomorrow, namasté! 😉
