Fes - Erfoud (day 6)

Before I start about today I want to recur to yesterday. Because after dinner we went for a little walk to find a café terrace to have something to drink. After the refreshing drink we went back to the hotel room. Once I was back in my room I noticed that the air conditioning wasn't working. So I walked downstairs to the reception to tell that the air conditioning wasn't working. A hotel employee followed me to the room, and he too noticed it's not working. So he walked to the fuse box and turned it on, and now it was working. So I thanked him and wanted to prepare to go to bed when all of a sudden I heard a loud bang, and there I stood in the darkness... Oops! Now I didn't have any power in the room. Once again I walked downstairs and said to the employee that how I don't have any power in my room. So again he followed me to the room (with a key of a replacement room) and again he noticed as well that there's no power. So in a hurry I had to collect all my stuff, and we went to the replacement room I was assigned to. Luckily everything in this room is working properly! :) And now about today...

After breakfast there's a long day in the bus ahead of us. Today the program existed of driving to the next location: Erfoud, where we would arrive at the end of the day. On our way there we stopped at a statue of an Atlas lion which was carved out of stone. This kind of lion is extinct, but is still a symbol of the Atlas region. After taking a picture of this statue we continued driving. A while later we stopped for a 5 minutes walk through a cedar wood, where macaques were sitting on the side of the road. Here we took some pictures of them, and then we continued again. After driving for a while we stopped for a coffee break / sanitary stop. After another while of driving we stopped again, this time for lunch which was delicious once again! When we finished lunch we drove to the hotel in one go, where we passed a water reservoir and multiple oases. We stopped at 1 oasis for a short stop, just to take a picture. Once we arrived at the hotel (around 20:00 h) it was a matter of quickly bringing the suitcases to the room and have dinner. Because it was already late, and we have to get up really early in the morning to watch the sunrise in the dessert and after that to go the sand dunes by dromedary! More about this tomorrow! :)
