Purmerend - Füssen (day 1)

Finally, it's time! After sitting still for almost two years thanks to the COVID-19 virus, which had and has taken over the world I can say today that I'm on vacation again. This time (by car) to Slovenia and Croatia. Our first stop was in the far south of Germany: Füssen!

Even though we didn't do much today practically, it was still about ten hours of driving from home to our final destination for today. We left at 7:00 in the morning, and we arrived at 17:15 in the afternoon. Upon arrival, we checked in at the hotel and when we're settled we started to get hungry and had dinner at a real Italian restaurant nearby. After dinner we explored the old city center of Füssen. This isn't a real big city, but it is build in old Germany architecture, where an emerald green river floats through the city!

Tomorrow the journey continues, first paying a visit to castle Neuschwanstein (this is the castle where Walt Disney (the person) got his inspiration from for the world-famous Disney logo!). After that we will continue driving to Austria, see you tomorrow!
