Dubrovnik (day 15)

We were supposed to take i easy today with a visit to the old city (again) and after that going to the beach for  snorkeling. Things went a bit different...

Once we arrived in the old city we signed up to go kayaking in the afternoon, which is in a group. So we made a short walk through the old city, to the parts where we haven't been yet. Next we took the bus back to the apartment to put on our swimming trunks (mandatory) and to make some sandwiches for the road, on which we went back to the old city by bus, there where the starting point of the kayaking is. The kayaking took about three hours, where we started at the city gate and rowed our way outside, along the city walls to a nearby island, where we moved around the island towards two caves. At the first cave we could stop to take a picture of the cave or to jump from a 9-meter-high cliff into the water. At the second cave we stopped to go snorkeling for 20 minutes, unfortunately on the short side. I did see however a lot of fish (and a jellyfish) of different sizes, although they didn't look that colorful. After snorkeling, it was time to pack up and go again and we rowed back to the starting point. In the meantime it was already late in the afternoon and we took the bus back tot the apartment to take a refreshing shower. After that we walked down the long stairs (the apartment is located on top of a mountain in the middle of a city) to go to a restaurant to have dinner. After dinner, we made a long walk over the boulevard, where we saw the sunset. We took another road back to the apartment. Tomorrow awaits a long day, when we will go to Bosnia & Herzegovina to visit Mostar!
