Mayrhofen - Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße (day 3)

This morning we left after breakfast and drove onto our next destination. On our way there we first went to the Krimml waterfall. This is a big waterfall of 380 meters high, making it the biggest phased waterfall of Europe!

We parked the car at about 400 meters altitude, and we hiked up to about 1300 meters altitude on a steep pathway with hairpin bends, a height difference of 900 meters. Once again quite the climb! We didn't walk all the way to the top, but right there where we stopped there was a souvenir shop where you can also buy coffee (for just 1 euro!). So we drank some coffee, and then we walked back down (so much easier...). Once back at the car we had some lunch at a picknick table and after that we drove to Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße in one go. Once we arrived and checked in we drove to the nearby Zell am See (6 km away). In this village we walked around a bit, but there wasn't much to do here, so we decided to sit on a covered terrace to have a drink and after that we drove back to the hotel. Once back in Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße we decided to have dinner so we did at an Italian-Indian (curious combination!) restaurant. After dinner we were quite done for the day. Tomorrow we will drive on the Großglocknerstraße, this is a road over the high mountains. So a lot of snowy mountain peaks, glaciers etc. to see, I'm already looking forward to it! This road will lead us to Kranjska Gora in Slovenia! :)
