Kranjska Gora - Bled (day 5)

After we packed our suitcases and put them back in the car we drove to the center of the village just a little further up ahead. From here on we hiked a bit before we continued to Bled.

We walked to the next village (Jasna) and even a little bit further along the dry riverbed. On the way back we even walked on the dry riverbed, which looked like a moon landscape. Once arrived at the car we continued our way to Bled. On our way there we first wanted to stop at Aljažev Dom, this is a vantage point from where you have a great view on the Triglav mountains. Because of bad weather and because a part of the dirt road had a slope of 25% we decided to turn around and go to the Vintgar gorge where the weather had improved. We walked through the gorge, which is a beautiful gorge with crystal clear water. Also, we saw some (medium-sized) fish. Next we went to Bled, or actually a village just outside Bled. Here we checked in at the apartment where we had some laundry to do (there is a washing machine!). During the wash we just sat down and relaxed a bit and had a cup of tea. When we got hungry we went to a nearby restaurant (just 100 meters walking). After dinner, we walked all the way back to the apartment to hang the laundry on the clothesline, after that we drove to Lake Bled which is just a few kilometers away. At the lake we walked a bit to eventually return to the apartment. Tomorrow we will stay another day at Bled, we don't know yet what's on tomorrow's program except that we will have to do some groceries because in this country supermarkets are closed on Sundays.
