Bled (day 6)

After we peacefully enjoyed our breakfast in the living room we drove to Bonj to visit the eponymous lake and waterfall. We also went to the Mostnica gorge.

Bohinj is less known (thus less touristic) than (Lake) Bled. We drove along the lake towards the waterfall. At the waterfall we parked the car and walked up for about 20 minutes to the actual waterfall. This is a nice waterfall, with a smaller one right next to it. After seeing this waterfall we walked back to the car and drove to the (earlier passed) lake. This lake was a glacier 6,000 years ago with ice 1,000 meters thick! At the lake we had lunch and after lunch we drove to the other side of the lake to visit the Mostnica gorge. This is a beautiful gorge, the deepest point is 25 meters! The water is crystal clear here as well. After seeing this gorge we went back to the apartment and on our way there we did some groceries. Once we got "home" we immediately booked accommodation for the next two nights. After that we just relaxed a bit and took a nap, we were really exhausted! Meanwhile, food was cooked so we had dinner. After dinner, we had to do the dishes the old-fashioned way. In the evening we took it easy, that's why this story is published so early! :) The accommodation for the next few nights had already been arranged as said before, because we will stay in the capital of Slovenia: Ljubljana!
