Koh Lanta (day 16)

For today there's actually not much on the program, except relaxing. With a good breakfast on the stomach we went snorkeling and the gods were with us today. During snorkeling we saw a lot of beautiful fish, big and small. Including moon fish and horn pike. But also crabs and a hermit crab.

After snorkeling we walked back towards the swimming pool (to get to the beach you have to pass the swimming pool), that's where my mother was. We joined her and after a while we also went in the swimming pool to clear all the sand and salt from the ocean. We also ordered lunch at the pool and after lunch we walked back to our rooms to freshen up and take a siesta. After that we decided to go to the old city of Lanta, therefore we ordered a taxi from the resort, and then we drove for about half an hour to the old city. Old Town Lanta consists mostly of souvenir shops and restaurants, this is where we bought some souvenirs and then took the same taxi (he was just waiting for us) back to the resort. In the meantime it was almost dark, so we immediately sat down at a table to order food for dinner. After dinner, we had to pack up our suitcases again, because early in the morning we will be leaving towards Krabi Airport to fly back to Bangkok. In Bangkok, we will stay at the same hotel as we did in our first days in Thailand / Bangkok.
