Bangkok (day 19)

Today was already the last day in Thailand unfortunately... This morning we had breakfast in the hotel room once again. After that we wanted to go to Dusit Palace Park and Suan Phakkad Palace Park. We walked out of the hotel onto the streets to take a taxi which can take us there. But upon arrival it turned out both are closed, double down on luck... And the day had just started! All and all we were in the taxi for more than an hour for about 15 euro, how 'expensive'!
So then we went to the museum of Siam. This is a museum about the history of Thailand (Siam is the old name of the country). This is quite an entertaining and interactive museum about different subjects that has to do with Thailand throughout the history of the country. From a class room in four different era's 'till everyday items (like drinking cups, vests from moped taxi drivers and religious items), but also clothes, from traditional clothes 'tll modern day clothes and Muy Thai (=kickboxing) outfits. Afterwards we walked to India Town to visit the market (which we had visited before actually, but because we didn't know what to do else since we already seen and did everything). We walked around for about an hour on this market, so then we decided to go to Lumphini Park to cool down a bit but also to see more Komodo dragons! After a walk in the park and taking some pictures of these dragons we took a break on a bench below a tree, in the shade for about an hour. After that it was about dinner time and we were getting hungry. So we exited the park and went to the Piza Hut for dinner (the Friday tradition...). Finally we wanted to take the skytrain from here into the direction of the hotel, but there was a very long queue at the ticket office. Since it's only one stop we decided to walk that distance. Tomorrow morning we will be flying back to the Netherlands sadly. From there (at home) I will write the last piece of this blog! I hope you enjoyed my stories these past three weeks, I did enjoy Thailand for sure! ?
