After breakfast and making sandwiches for lunch, we packed our suitcases again and loaded them into the car. Then the long drive to Konya began. Along the way, we did make a few stops.
About an hour after leaving, we made our first stop at a gas station to refuel and grab a coffee. As we were about to drive off, the people parked next to us handed us some savory snacks (bourekas / bΓΆrek). That was incredibly kind of them and delicious, too! After driving for a while longer, we stopped again, this time by a lake. With a stunning view, we enjoyed our lunch there. Eventually, we continued our journey to the large, hectic city of Konya. Upon arrival, we couldnβt find the apartment, and we ended up waiting over half an hour for the host. She finally showed up and gave us a tour of the apartment, which turned out to be just as spacious as the one we had in Pamukkale! Once inside, we had some drinks at the table until it was time to head out for dinner at a restaurant, where we had a lovely meal. After dinner, we took a short walk before heading back to the apartment. Tomorrow weβll spend the whole day in Konya, including attending a whirling dervish performance!
